Is your booking platform comparable to an "OTA" like Expedia or Priceline?

No. Our booking platform is a user-friendly interface for the travel industry profession's Global Distribution System (GDS). GDS has been the gold standard for making bookings in our industry since the 1960s, but until recently, it was only visible to / usable by licensed travel industry professionals. GDS provides real-time access to inventory and pricing for hotels, cars, and more, as published by the actual providers. Our booking platform is just a consumer-friendly interface sitting atop the GDS, so bookings made on it go directly into the corresponding hotels' reservation systems.

What are the benefits of using your booking platform, vs. booking directly with a hotel, using an OTA, or booking with AMEX Fine Hotels & Resorts?

When you use our booking platform, you get the incredible benefits of our affiliation with Travel Experts, Inc., which means you'll have access to exclusive preferred partnership benefits at luxury hotels around the world. You also gain these benefits when you work with a Kiki's Travel Service team member.

The reason to use the online booking platform is if you prefer being able to search and reserve hotel rooms independently, quickly, and privately, without reaching out to our team.

How do your preferred partner benefits compare to AMEX Fine Hotels & Resorts and can I get AMEX Platinum Card benefits by booking with you?

We are happy to book AMEX Fine Hotels & Resorts if that’s your preference and yes, we get all their benefits! AMEX rates and benefits are not available on the booking platform, but you can reach out to us here.

We do find, however, that the range of rates and benefits offered through our booking platform, which include Virtuoso, Four Seasons Preferred Partner, Rosewood Elite, Oetker Pearl Collection, Sofitel STEP, Belmond Bellini Club, Dorchester Diamond Club, Hyatt Prive, Marriott STARS, and many more, often match or exceed what is offered by AMEX. In addition, hotels prioritize clients using their own hotel programs over those booking through the AMEX program, so if you want to be the VIP of VIPs, and if the rates are similar, we recommend booking the hotel's own preferred partner rate, if it's availalbe, on our booking platform.

Is there a fee to use the booking tool?

No, our booking tool is completely free for our registered clients.

What if the hotel or rate I’m looking for isn’t listed?

You can always reach out to us directly if you're having trouble locating a specific hotel or rate.

Know though that the hotels included on our booking platform were specifically chosen because we have preferred partnerships with them (through our host agency). These are benefits that you would not have access to unless you were actually a member of their preferred programs.

What are the limitations of your booking platform?

Currently, the tool only allows you to one room per transaction. If you need to book multiple rooms, you will need to make separate reservations for each one.

You are also welcome to use the booking platform to price out hotel options and once you've made a decision, you can contact us at info@kikistravelservice.com and request our help completing your multi-room booking.

What if I need to cancel my hotel stay?

Once your booking is confirmed, you’ll receive a confirmation email. To cancel or modify your stay, click “View Trip” at the bottom of your confirmation email. This will open your booking details in a browser, where you’ll find your cancellation options, based on the details indicated when you first made the booking.

Can I share your website and the hotel booking platform's password with friends or family members?

Absolutely!

What are the terms and conditions of the booking I make with your hotel booking platform? Which amenities are included?

Since all bookings made on our platform are direct with the hotel, the terms and conditions for your stay, and the amenities, are set by the hotel itself at the time of booking. Be sure to review these details, especially cancellation policies, before making a booking. Amenities are not identical for all hotels or for all rates at a given hotel.

I’ve received my confirmation email. Am I all set?

Yes! Once you receive a confirmation email from Travelwits, your reservation is complete and the hotel will have your booking details. We will only communicate with you about your booking if you reach out to us for assistance - for example if you'd like help arranging airport transfers or booking dinner or spa reservations. If we don't hear from you, we'll assume that you would like to manage all the details of your stay yourself.

I don't want to book this way. Can I just contact you for hotel bookings?
